Our History in the Madawaska Valley
We’re proud to have been serving the Madawaska Valley and the surrounding areas for over a decade! We’ve done work for hundreds of clients in both the residential and commercial sectors in Barry’s Bay, Combermere, Palmer Rapids, Wilno, Killaloe, Golden Lake, Round Lake, Madawaska and Whitney, and are proud of our deep portfolio of satisfied clients and beautiful properties.
Meet the Team
Mark W. Simpson, Founder and President
Mark has never been known to include a suit, tie or briefcase in his daily wardrobe. He excels in work boots, a hard hat and safety shirts.
Mark grew up right here in the Madawaska Valley, where he developed an interest in the landscaping and construction world. At the age of 16, he worked for various companies and continued to the years following.
At 19 years old, he decided to start his own business; MWS construction. He started this company based on the need to have the control he desired and required to operate a successful business. This business caries the same values and roots he was raised and instilled with: hardworking, honesty, respect, pride, loyalty and a very high attention to detail. The quality of every project he completes is done in an obsessive nature and ability to produce the highest quality of performance.
It is a 24 hour a day; 7 days a week; 365 days a year ritual at MWS to do things once and do it right.
MWS Construction has grown from a pickup truck with a trailer and one employee, to ten employees, multiple pieces of modern and up to date, heavy equipment and vehicles that he takes much pride in. With over 10 years’ experience and thousands of exceptionally well satisfied customers is the proof that MWS Construction delivers. Matt Simpson, Site Superintendent
Matt has been with MWS for almost 9 years. Throughout these years, he has had to perform all of the duties that are are involved in our projects. From the most basic, labour intensive aspects, to the intricate layout and coordination of large scale landscaping projects, Matt has become an expert in each task required to successfully transform the designs into reality.
Matt has an Architectural Technician diploma from Algonquin College. This has proved to be very valuable with regards to the planning, layout and knowledge of building materials that are required to correctly complete our projects.
Being a brother of the owner has its advantages and disadvantages, but the most valuable advantage is that there is a large amount of accountability that his held between them, which translates into a well executed, efficient and honest work team.
